INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION
Swipe your zodiac

An interactive multimedia installation designed for “Fuorisalone del mobile 2022” event, commissioned by the University of San Marino.
The project transports the visitor into the astral dimension of the zodiac, within which the human body is augmented by generative graphics, applied on the face, which follows the user’s movements.
The user thus enters into a symbiotic relationship with technology and gives life to wonderful creatures of the zodiac.
objective
The goal was to create an interactive installation inserted within an exhibition space dedicated to promoting the master's degree in Interaction & experience design for the Salone del Mobile. The project aims to transport the visitor into the astral dimension of the zodiac, within which the human body is augmented by generative graphics that are superimposed on the face, following its movements.

Information collected by the kinect:
skeletron & face recognition.
We used this data to manage the graphical output.
Location
Storyboard
1.
A starry sky appears on the screen with the project title and constellations animated in the background.
2.
As soon as the user stands in front of the screen (above the sign placed on the ground) he sees the illustration appear on his face.
3.
The user is surrounded by starry space and swipes organically from one sign to another, and the illustration performs a dynamic generative transition between one symbol and the next.
4.
When the user pauses on their zodiac sign, they will have to wait a few seconds for the sign's horoscope to appear.
Illustrations
The illustrations of each zodiac sign, are composed of 10 symmetrical elements that correspond to each other.
The transition from one sign to another will be handled by a generative transition of the geometric elements itselves.
